  1. 2021 already has it beat…with the Methodist preacher finishing the prayer with “Amen and Awomen.”

Some guy on twitter wrote: Amen is Hebrew. Awomen is Shebrew. 😉

Some other guy wrote that “Amen and Awomen” is some kind of black pastor thing. Of course, I’ve never heard it being white and raised catholic. I didn’t bother to see whether he was joking, serious, or trying to pull one over.

    1. It’s interesting how people choose to divide up moral / social topics. These are the categories that spring to mind. I’m sure there are others.

+ “We will secretly teach this to your children whether you like it or not.” Ex., sexual issues, or in some cases religious issues.
+ “We will openly teach this to your children in the hopes they can browbeat you into compliance.” Ex., smoking, global warming.
+ “We have to have a conversation,” which really means “we have to lecture you backwards blockheads.”
+ “It’s a matter of moral indifference.” Ex. …. vanishingly small category.

      1. It’s bad enough that it’s included in the curricula, but to do it without notifying parents is nearly criminal. I shudder to think what I might have done if this occurred with my kids. It likely would have been recorded in the annals of school history.
