Accusations fly all over the place, left and right. Obama sent the IRS after his enemies. Trump did the same. Biden is compromised by Hunter’s deals with China. Etc. <\/p>\n
And almost nobody believes the investigations, which are usually just partisan witch hunts. <\/p>\n
We have a situation where we know for certain there’s a lot of bad stuff going on, and sensible people have no confidence in anyone’s ability to get to the bottom of it, or to report on it truthfully. <\/p>\n
This is a recipe for disaster and collapse. We have to have a decent level of confidence that our system works, and that it’s fair. But partisanship has infected everything. Nobody trusts the news. Nobody trusts Congressional investigations. Nobody trusts the Department of Justice. <\/p>\n
Nor should they. <\/p>\n
How do we create an independent, trustworthy organization to monitor and combat corruption? If we don’t figure that out soon, I think the country is in a very bad way. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
