I’m not a Republican, although every time I had a chance to vote for president, I have voted for the Republican candidate — except for John McCain, who was a wimp (politically, not personally), and proved he had no sense when he chose Sarah Palin. <\/p>\n
I’m open to the idea of voting for a reasonable Democrat, because there are some (traditional) Democratic policies I either like or could tolerate. For example, I think strong unions are a good thing (with limits). <\/p>\n
A “moderate Democrat” would have to, at a minimum … <\/p>\n
1. Accept some restrictions on abortion
\n2. Have a plan to rein in the mess at the border
\n3. Reject extreme wokeism (e.g., would say publicly that Lia Thomas is a man and should not be competing against women)
\n4. Support a strong military <\/p>\n
