With special guest, Noman, Pigweed and Crowhill take a look at Jack London’s Sea Wolf, an exciting book that introduced the world to the interesting character, Wolf Larsen. Captain Larsen is an amoral, materialist monster.

While the book is good in general, a particular passage caught Crowhill’s eye, because it dealt with the “race” of the Norwegians, and the “race” of the Italians.

Huh?

Crowhill called on his friend Noman to discuss.

This episode discusses the concept of race and racism, whether stop and frisk was racist, and several other interesting points.

Be warned. Noman sings a slightly inappropriate song in the middle of this podcast.

It’s amazing how so many people feel like they’re experts on complicated issues because of what they read on social media, as this comic points out.

A state decides to open, then the state has a rise in cases. Ergo, opening caused more cases, right? Right?

Can we please be honest and say that we don’t know? There are many factors involved, and the science is far from settled.

Let’s be reasonable and cautious, but when people think they can connect the dots, remind them they don’t know what they’re talking about.

How long will it be before we “cancel” the days of the week?

Tuesday is “Tyr’s day.” So who was this Tyr character? He’s best known for offering his hand to Fenriswolf when the gods were trying to trick the poor beast. This is clearly an example of toxic masculinity.

Wednesday is “Odin’s day.” Slaves were sacrificed to Odin.

Thursday is “Thor’s day.” I’m sure Thor wouldn’t hold up to modern scrutiny. (Although Loki might.)

So, while we’re ridding our culture of everything objectionable, why don’t we do something about this?

I suggest we rename the days one, two, three, etc.

Oh, and why seven days in a week? That’s obviously a religion relic that we have to abandon, right? Why not make it ten?

They’re going to call the team the D.C. Redskins, because Washington is too offensive.
