Hunter Biden’s laptop — Nooze and Booze from P&C

Hunter Biden’s laptop seems to have been hanging out in a Delaware computer repair shop for a long time, and the data on it was recently given to (it seems) the FBI, Rudy Giuliani, and the New York Post. The material, if accurate, is very damning.

The media (covering for Joe Biden) has refused to cover the story, and social media is canceling anyone who dares to repeat the info.

P&C drink “Apple Pie Moonshine” and discuss.

  1. I thought it weird at 22:00 +/ 0:30 when PigWeed denigrates Hunter for taking up with his brother’s widow and calling it perverted. Is PigWeed saying the Bible and the Law of Moses is perverted?

I’m thinking of the question in Mt 22:28. Jesus doesn’t say, “gee, what a bunch of perverts…”

    1. Yes, that’s interesting, although I think your underlying assumption that everything coming out of Fox takes a conservative slant is not right. Most of it does, but not all.

And yes, I would like to see an investigation.

  2. Hmm…here we are again, a few weeks before a presidential election and allegedly damning “emails” are introduced into the national conversation. Given we know two FBI investigations and a subsequent 3 year inquiry by the Trump administration found “there was no persuasive evidence of systemic, deliberate mishandling of classified information”, in the prior email scandal…it might be prudent to examine the facts carefully before sounding an alarm about this strangely similar circumstance. After all, it’s been a long-standing DOJ policy to not confirm the existence of or otherwise comment about ongoing investigations…specifically not to respond to questions about the existence of an ongoing investigation or comment on its nature or progress before charges are publicly filed.

So, hopefully a legitimate investigation will be conducted. If charges are filed, then it might be time to sound an alarm. Until such, it’s likely best to keep the powder dry, especially since several previous allegations of this nature haven’t proven to be what was first purported. We also know, based on information from the Trump administration, there is a legitimate effort to interfere in the US election from foreign actors. Therefore, this could potentially be another aspect of that. Lastly, it seems some who are familiar with the principals in this matter have spoken out and there are conflicting inputs.

    1. Yes, there are lots of possibilities, which is why journalists should be investigating it.

  3. The big problem with this story is the contrast between the treatment of Hunter Biden’s laptop and “Russia, Russia, Russia.”

It’s perfectly reasonable to say that the media should not be reporting on stories they can’t verify, therefore they’re going to wait on the Hunter Biden thing until they’re sure about it.

But it’s a little rich after three years of the media doing the exact opposite.

    1. Seems there is reporting occurring but to date most are not yet finding evidence the cooborates the allegations or is conflicting. As well, there’s an established pattern of lies and misinformation that comes from the accusers. Given this, it’s reasonable they are taking a measured approach and verifying what they are finding.

That said, one thing is sure, the media loves ANYTHING that increases views and clicks, no matter the target. We saw a clear example of that in 2016 with a similar presidential candidate scandal. There was ad nauseam coverage despite the subject being what some assumed to be favored by the media. In fact, some suggest such coverage influenced voters’ perceptions to the detriment of the candidate.

    2. IDK if you remember, but CNN was investigating the Steele dossier. They had been investigating it for weeks or months, but hadn’t released any information about it. Then the story broke on the BuzzFeed or some other website. At first, all CNN said was that, yes, there is a dossier and they are looking into it. Orange bozo then called CNN “fake news.” There was nothing fake about acknowledging there was a dossier they were looking into and that yes, there were things in the dossier that BuzzFeed reported that are in the dossier. They didn’t confirm the facts in the dossier, they simply confirmed the contents of the dossier after it already was a story.

Then, the details of the dossier were being reported all over the place. The Trump campaign said they had zero contact with the Russians. Then dribble by dribble it was found that the campaign had all sorts of contacts with Russians whether it was Sessions or Trump Tower or Manafort all over the place. If the administration had said, sure, we had some contact with Russians. Mr. Trump does business in Russia, Mr. Sessions as a senator has Russian contacts, blah, blah, blah… the suspicion might have diminished. But, no, they said they had zero contact and it was demonstrably false. Then, how many people in the campaign were indicted and convicted. Flynn, Manafort, Stone, etc, etc. It’s as if conservatives pretend these people don’t exist.

Oh poor Trump… I remember when the Obama born in Africa story was pretty much dead for months and then orange bozo went on Fox and said he had proof that Obama was born in Africa and that he’d be sharing it soon…like later his taxes and his healthcare plan and pretty much everything he promises.

It is tedious about all the unnamed sources that are used in “stories”. I do think that is BS. If they can’t go on the record, then don’t report it. There is tons of that. Maybe it’s just decaying journalistic standards. There are too many news outlets and too much pressure to be “first” to a story.

  4. Reportedly, Putin said he didn’t see any wrongdoing in the Hunter Biden Ukraine dealings: the Biden family hauled in a boatload of easy money, but committed no actual crime. Anyway, I’d trust Putin before I’d trust either Biden or Trump, both of whom are major league liars.
