Florida Reports Lowest Daily COVID-19 Cases per Capita in US
Could it be higher vitamin D concentrations, because they’re out in the sun more? Could it be that more people have developed natural immunity?
Doesn’t matter. It’s all a game of politicians blaming / taking credit for things they likely don’t have much to do with.
Shouldn’t “all states matter”?
According to the CDC, within the past 7 days, Florida is amongst 11 states that have lowest case rates in the country. So, whatever they are currently doing should be highlighted and emulated (as feasible). Yet, if there’s going to recognition given, it likely should be noted that Florida is amongst 8 states that has had the highest Covid death rates since the initiation of the pandemic.
That said, it would be good to understand what’s causing the current low case load. Florida has consistently had some of the highest case rates in the country since the initiation of the pandemic. Just 3 months ago, they were still amongst the highest. So, what changed? Could it finally be natural immunity? If so, why did it take so long, given Florida’s consistently high case rate. Could be a combination of natural immunity and vaccination? Lots of questions. Hopefully, we can get answers and Florida can be one of the states leading the way to the effective management of this dreaded virus.
