Maybe the Brits, Canadians, Aussies, Kiwis, and whomever can all get together and be the power in Afghanistan. If you get them all together, I’m sure you can come up with at least a third of a pair of huevos.

Interesting thing about border walls in the US. Conservatives rail on Democrats about having open borders but I rarely hear them speak of the need to secure our Northern border. Why no wall there? Greece and other countries have border walls…why can’t we have two to maximize security??? After all, an illegal immigrant is a criminal no matter where the come from, right?
It’s been a known problem that illegal immigrants are coming in through Canada. At one time, it was thought that 100,000 Canadians were living under the radar in the US. The number of people apprehended for illegally crossing into the United States along the northern border has nearly tripled over the past few years according to federal data. Albeit the number of illegals from the Southern border is larger, when the U.S. Department of Homeland Security published a recent report on people who overstayed their legally permitted time in the country, Canadians led all other nationalities. Still, in all the rhetoric about the crucial need for border security from conservatives, we don’t hear anything about the need for a Northern wall. In fact, conservative Lindsey Graham once said… “I’ve never met an illegal Canadian”. Isn’t that amazing?
Those are for the most part English-speaking white folk from Canada, whereas the people coming from the south speak Spanish and have darker skin. That is what it’s about. It’s all about a good “cultural fit” from a bigoted standpoint. Maybe the likes of Graham would be stirred up about Canadians if you told him that they are a big bunch of “leftists.”
So, you really think race could be factor in all of this? I’ve been told that race issues were generally resolved in the US…all that ugly racial nastiness is a thing of the distant past. Who knew it could possibly be an issue in 2021???
