I’ve fallen behind a little on posting new episodes, but there’s a new one today about communism, and there are three more in the queue, so be sure to keep an eye on Beer and Conversation with Pigweed and Crowhill.

I’ll have to start checking in over there again. I got a bit frustrated because I made a few comments that seemed to get permanently stuck in moderation. I see now that you’ve released them, so if I have something worth saying (at least in my own opinion) you may hear from me again there.
I do see all the new podcast episodes appear because my podcast app tells me when new ones are available, but I tend to be 2 or 3 episodes behind in listening to them.
Oh, and I should say, I always enjoy them.
Yeah, I’m sorry about that. I’m supposed to get notifications when comments are held for moderation, but they went into spam. :/ Stupid google.
I enjoy them too, even on those rare occasions when I’m (metaphorically.. mostly) shouting at my phone.
However, my gym has just opened back up in Large Canadian City, which has been the most locked-down place in North America for a long time. So since I have to start burning off many months’ worth of quarantine weight, beer recommendations can’t be acted upon for the moment. But I can listen to the shows, anyway!
Odd thing about podcasts: I tend to be able to remember where I was when I was listening to one I really enjoyed. I remember what street I was walking on when Korea was discussed, which park I was in when you were talking about Holmes, which mall I was in when you were talking about Jack London, and so on.
I even remember where I was when you argued that the ordinary rules of supply and demand setting prices should be suspended in times of emergency, and that in those times shopkeepers had to turn down any additional money people might offer for their wares in such times but instead keep their prices relatively stable even at great cost to their families.
Presumably because it’s an ethical imperative for shopkeepers to serve as a kind of free insurance pool for their potential customers, or something. The reasoning was a little handwavy, as I recall..
Didn’t think it was any more persuasive in audio form than written, but I did appreciate that you mentioned that not everyone on your blog was convinced you were right. 😉
Shout away. But let us know what you’re shouting! 🙂
