I went to the gun range today, and they said we had to turn in our cell phones before we went on the range. The reason? Some idiot tried to take a selfie with a loaded pistol pointed at her head. She’s still in rehab.

More likely protecting themselves from the ramifications of people being shot at their facility while taking selfies, or even protecting themselves from appearing identifiably in a social media post of someone engaging in egregiously stupid and dangerous behavior under their auspices.
True. It’s not good publicity for a gun range when somebody shoots themself.
As far as cell phones go, I only have a very primitive one for the purpose of managing my bank account online. Though I have my own reasons not to embrace the most recent phone technology, I can add to my list that having one increases the probability of shooting myself in the head when I am at a gun range (a place I never go to).
