Obama made racism worse, not better

  1. For starters, I find it highly doubtful that there is a mass movement of white people posing as black, native american, or non-white in some other way. There may be some “pretendarians” here and there. One could add to the list this one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacheen_Littlefeather (Note that native Americans find cases such as these highly objectionable.) But I would have to see evidence that this has become shockingly prevalent or that Obama opened the floodgates to it.

    1. Good thing he never alluded to a “mass movement of white people posing as black.” He probably would have made the point better without bringing up extreme cases like Dolezal, because he was really talking about people of mixed ancestry or even possible mixed ancestry seeking to identify themselves with the maximally “brown” version of their background because of how the culture was suddenly and pointlessly incentivizing that.

      1. This may happen from time to time, but I am still waiting for the evidence that it is happening on a scale that justifies concern about it.

      2. The main point I got from it is that rather than helping blacks, Obama mainstreamed this stupid diversity points contest, so that we judge people by their “diversity” (i.e., not being white). So a successful Indian man is “diverse,” but a poor white guy isn’t.

It’s similar to this “LGBTQ community” nonsense. There is no “community” that encompasses everybody who’s not straight. In fact, gays are realizing that the trans agenda is anti-gay.

Both of these things are an attempt to unite and weaponize the minority against the majority. (Remember, America has to be “fundamentally transformed.”)

        It hasn’t helped anybody.

          1. Bingo!!! This is an “opinion” and now it’s expected to be taken as fact? Even the facts that are alleged are fake…concepts like diversity and LGBT “community” preceded Obama. In fact, Obama wasn’t the first president to espouse such concepts. Yet, isn’t it curious how he was credited with such and singled handedly owns responsibility for their impact upon the culture?

  2. He talks about “tribal”… and I’d even more associate being tribal with Trump. The tribes aren’t pigmentation based–well, except for the orange spray tan one with red baseball caps. That’s tribal. There is no crime he can commit that his tribe won’t defend.

And, this guy thinks blacks should be ashamed of being black…or to have even 1/16th part black. People are now proud to be that? Or biracial? And the problem with that is…???

He talks about tribalism destroying meritocracy… And, I’m thinking… the tribe of Yale? the tribe of Harvard? the tribe of daddy donated $2million to the endowment so baby Jared can steal a spot from someone more deserving who worked harder to get better grades and score higher on entrance tests?

Is this guy worried about his own tribe decreasing in strength?

Also, he criticizes how Elizabeth Warren dresses? Because she didn’t dress in native dress? I know lots of Indians (that’s what they generally call themselves in OK). They wear the same clothes as everyone else. They usually save the native dress for pow wows. When did she mark “native american” on her college entrance forms? In the 1970s or so? Maybe earlier? When did Obama become president? (2009)

    1. And who is the most oppressed person in the world? Orange Bozo. Wild clapping by the MAGAts.

    2. My first thought after viewing the video was…”why should we listen to this man and what makes his claims credible”? He makes a series of assertions but doesn’t substantiate them.

As well, he seems to attribute things to Obama that proceeded Obama’s presidency. How powerful Obama must have been to do all this man claims. Hey, if Obama could be a twice elected US president without being a US citizen, I supposed he could do anything, eh?

Overall, I found this to be conservative catnip…a red herring…something to distract and falsely assign blame rather than a factual, meaningful, thought-provoking dissertation. It belongs with Ben Shapiro’s movie review of Barbie…sensational but not substantive. Next!

  3. Let’s just keep throwing down red herrings and some bombs at Obama while we’re at it. It doesn’t matter if they are duds.

  6. I serendipitously ran across this on the restaurant’s website. It made me think of this thread and I wondered if this sentiment could be attributed to Obama.

NOTE: Racism, either overt or perpetuated through unconscious bias, has no place at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, and both our Mission and People Promise are firmly rooted in the principle of valuing what everyone brings to the table. Our employees work hard to ensure that our brand, which is grounded in genuine hospitality and nostalgia, represents only what is good about those things. While our décor and food may harken back to earlier times, our inclusive culture and beliefs about equality and diversity do not.

  7. Obama must be the most powerful and influential person EVER… should build a church to him.

DEI is all over the world… western Europe, Canada, AU, NZ. Imagine a speech by Obama causing ALL of that. That’s power… You NEED TO HAVE MORE RESPECT FOR OBAMA!!!!

Or… maybe Obama was just reflecting/intuiting the times or times to come… idk… let the reader decide.

For $300…What is option #2 most likely being true?, Alex!
