  1. According to Biden’s political opponents, there would be pure bedlam (e.g., defunding of police, citizens not safe, mobs pillaging and lighting cities on fire, delays in dispatching help from 911 calls, etc.) if he were elected president. Since becoming president, predicted a ‘red wave’ of defeat during the 2022 midterm elections. Yet, the record hasn’t substantiated their severe predictions. In fact, Biden has had some historic achievements during his tenure.

According to Newt Gingrich, the GOP needs to stop underestimating Biden and Democrats…“but they have a machine, and the machine worked. And so I would say that when you look at results, you may dislike them philosophically, but you have to be realistic that these people have been effective. And you have to assume that they’re going to go into 2024 with a pretty powerful machine, running a juggernaut.” Even today, some were surprised by the results of the 2nd quarter GDP report…US economic growth accelerated and defied slowdown expectations. Albeit high, even inflation was held in check, contrary to expectations during this period.

Overall, like most presidents, Biden has MANY flaws. Yet, despite being highly unpopular, by general historian standards, it doesn’t appear Biden’s yet earned the label of being amongst the worst presidents. Yet, we still have a long way to go before his term ends…we’ll see.

  2. Oh, another thing I’ve noticed in “Biden’s America”, the civility of our political leaders when a personal misfortune has occurred with a political opponent. Seems there’s quite a distinction in tone between Democrat and Republican leaders’ public comments. I wonder which sets a better example.

    Democrat Leaders—Reaction to McConnell’s Fall

*Former Kentucky Democrat Rep. John Yarmuth noted that McConnell’s fall is representative of a time “when political disagreements are insignificant. “I hope Sen. McConnell has a speedy and full recovery.”

*Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat, opened floor proceedings by saying… “I join every single one of my colleagues in wishing Leader McConnell a speedy and full recovery,”

*House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, New York Democrat, started his weekly press conference with…”We are praying for a swift and a full and speedy recovery, and we stand with him and his family in that regard.”

    Republican Leaders—Reaction to Biden’s Fall

*”I don’t know if he sustained injuries, but I just want to say, we hope and wish Joe Biden a swift recovery from any injuries he may have sustained,” DeSantis said. “But we also wish the United States of America a swift recovery from the injuries it has sustained because of Joe Biden and his policies.”

*’This is not funny. This is just sad,’ Republican Texas Rep. Wesley Hunt said. ‘Under no circumstances should this man be our President in 2025. Praying for our country.’

*Florida state Rep. Anthony Sabatini wrote “Biden has crashed both his bike and the American economy” and “Biden must be removed from office ASAP.”

    1. Hard to remember or even to imagine Trump and his minions wishing one of his political opponents well.

      1. Albeit hard to imagine, Trump was actually civil on this occasion. He said…“Well, I hope he wasn’t hurt…you gotta be careful about that because you don’t want that, even if you have to tiptoe down the ramp…”

        1. Donal Trump, the clock that is right only once a day – or even less!

          1. And he usually blows up and causes mayhem. Just not worth it for those rare occasions of minor truth.
