  1. Wait…moralism and family values from a man who’s literally murdering families and waging an unrighteous war upon Ukraine? The man that’s thought to put “corrupt” into “corruption”??? I was taught that the “truth” lies in what a person does, not necessarily what they say. So, I think the better lesson is to observe Mr. Putin’s actions versus what he says in this speech that “allegedly” excoriates the West.

    I say allegedly because I don’t know if the captions/voice-over accurately captured what Mr. Putin was saying in this speech. With AI and deep fake videos, just about “anything” is possible these days. Could this be the epitome of “fake news”? One has to consider the source…Russian state media isn’t known to the paragon of truth and accuracy. As well, I found it interesting that the speech was consistently infused with controversial “culture war” images. It felt very much like propaganda…almost to lead a viewer to think…“wow, if an autocrat like Putin is saying these things, then it must be something to this stuff”. This felt very like a hit piece that could be generated by Breitbart, Newsmax, OAN and Fox News…catnip for conservative extremists to be consumed in social media echo chambers. Just to think…some might actually take this video at face value???

    Nevertheless, even if it’s 100% authentic (which I have serious suspicions)…who gives a flying fig what Putin has to say on the subject? After all, talk is cheap. I’d give more credence to his thoughts if he practiced what he preached. But, I won’t hold my breath.
