Elon Musk on wokeness

The same could be said about the GOP, Trump’s rhetoric, KKK, Fox News, alt-right, social media echo chambers, cults and many types of extremisms. So, Musk’s observation is not so very profound and one has to wonder if it’s even accurate. Just because “he” said it…does it make it so? Yet, it does raise a question as to why some appeal to him as an authority? Why should his opinion be taken more credibly than others?
Musk is taken to be more credible than others because he pounds on the table and yells like hell.
Right. That, and not because he’s a genius who put an electric car (that he built) on top of a rocket (that he built) and sent it into space.
I am sure that some embraced Charles Lindbergh’s outspoken anti-Semitism for similar reasons: Such an extraordinary aviator and inventor just can’t be wrong.
Men who achieve status in the world aren’t always right, but they have a perspective that’s worth listening to.
Also, you raised the question of Musk being “more credible.” I simply think he’s right in what he said.
I am sure that there is some Joe Blow whom you could have just as well quoted, and yet you quote Musk. And obviously the status achieved by the likes of Lindbergh and Ford doesn’t make their perspective on Jews worth listening to. They were not “just wrong.” They espoused some horrible doctrines.

So what would you find worth listening to from men that have achieved status such as… Barack Obama, George Soros, Tim Cook, Joe Biden, Michael Bloomberg, Bill Clinton, Jeff Bezos, Larry Page or Tom Steyer.
Another example: Henry Ford was a brilliant industrialist. He pioneered the assembly line, thereby pioneering mass production. Does that make him credible in his unabashed contempt for the “international Jew”?
The real reason Musk’s opinion on wokeness is valuable is that he’s had many times more experience with the woke mob than everybody on this blog combined.
And Henry Ford no doubt had to deal with Jews quite extensively.
I have heard racist arguments along these lines going way back: “You don’t know these people like I do. I have had to work with them.”
Musk may be a genius but that doesn’t mean his perspectives on the alleged woke are accurate. I suspect if Musk espoused support for woke positions, he wouldn’t be considered as credible, despite all that “experience”.
BTW, how do you know how much experience others on this blog have relative to the woke? Inquiring minds want to know.

It would interesting to understand what valid experience Musk has that makes him an authority on “Wokeness”. Care to share?
