7 in 10 people believe they’re being lied to by the media

What’s up with those other three?

“Two-thirds of people globally said that they believe that journalists and reporters purposely try to mislead people by saying things they know are false or grossly exaggerated.” Source.

Some people say you should only read the sports page and the opinion pieces. Just about everything on the sports page is true, and the opinion pieces aren’t pretending to be anything but opinions.

  1. It’s likely a good thing for the public to be skeptical of the media. It allows for more critical thinking about what’s being presented.

That said, I’d suggest taking the media like consuming fish…eat the meat, throw away the bones. Despite significant flaws, there is still value in some of the content within the media.

  2. Happy 2nd year anniversary to The Crowhill Reportbeing back in operation! Hopefully, this is one media resource that won’t ever lie to us.

  3. Just when you think you’ve seen it all. Seems Trump is having a lover’s spat with Fox News. He’s accused them of pushing a Democratic agenda while offering to help rival network CNN become a “gold mine” by going conservative.

“Wow! Fox News is really pushing the Democrats and the Democrat agenda. Gets worse every single day. So many Dems interviewed with only softball questions, then Republican counterparts get creamed.”

“If ‘low ratings’ CNN ever went conservative, they would be an absolute gold mine, and I would help them do so.”

“RINO Karl Rove is unwatchable, very negative, and on all the time – has a big record of losing!”

    Karl Rove…a RINO??? Who knew?

    1. It is indeed interesting to see what is going on with these news networks. CNN is returning to its old business model of bothsidesism (“Crossfire”), while FOX is allowing for anti-Trump comments.

I don’t think that the latter will go very far with that. Murdoch and co. have assessed that Trump is not politically viable. They and the GOP want a new energizing leader for their cause, most likely Ron DeSantis.

Now the trick is to get those 70 million votes for the handpicked Führer. They can do that, perhaps, if that individual declares Trump to be a martyr. In the meantime they will help the liberals, as they see the opponents of Trump, to take down the Orange Man. After that, very few of the dreaded Base will remember, as they have proved time and again to be extremely forgetful (exhibited, for instance, in their acceptance of constantly shifting narratives about Jan 6 and the FBI “raid” on Trump’s Florida residence).

As for CNN, they would sorta like to keep Trump around. He works out better for them than Pat Buchanan did. But maybe DeSantis will also work out quite well, as long as they keep their highly lucrative bothsidesism going.
