Who’s following the money on the vaccines?

Whenever there’s money changing hands, there are people who want to get a piece of it. That’s fine. That’s just business — so long as everyone follows some basic rules.

Unfortunately, money changing hands also attracts people who don’t follow the rules.

This is something like a law of nature. It’s not a surprise. It’s entirely expected, and we need to watch out for it.

The media used to focus on that sort of thing. They watched for corruption, inside dealing, bribes, nepotism ….

Given all that, it’s strange there hasn’t been much attention paid to the huge amount of money being spent on vaccines — despite the fact that there’s strong evidence there’s something fishy going on. One simple example is the suppression of other treatments, and the failure to recommend simple and obvious ways to reduce risk, like getting more Vitamin D and losing weight.

Why the silence over the potential for fraud? It may be because we’re all so grateful for the vaccines, and investigating the finances seems like looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Maybe. I think there’s more to it. And while I’m very thankful for modern technology and the availability of the vaccines, I think more investigation is warranted. There’s simply too much money at stake, and lots of money always means corruption.

    1. That’s not really comparable. Yes, people can lie on web pages and make lots of money. Are you proposing somebody should regulate that?

What I’m talking about is government officials taking actions that result in a huge payment to a few companies. That’s clearly a situation that needs minding.

      1. FOX boasts about huge profits. Why don’t they do engage in some investigative journalism regarding the issue?

  1. It’s the usual suspects, government leaders…of both strips (Republicans and Democrats) and corporate investors. The fox is guarding the hen house, as typical. Anyone surprised?

QUOTE: Why the silence over the potential for fraud?

What silence? Seems there’s been reporting on it…but it’s not in the headlines everyday. That said, what would you like to see that would indicate there was “less silence”? I suspect media reports wouldn’t suffice since you’ve indicated you have no trust nor confidence in them.

    1. Reporting on legislators who buy stock in companies that make vaccines is certainly a good start.

I’ve heard many doctors and scientists say they are bewildered and confused by the way the public health establishment is dealing with Covid. That raises questions of why. What is motivating this particular response? Money is an obvious candidate, but not the only one.

      1. Seems several things are occurring. First, it’s no surprise that opportunists are taking advantage of a public health crisis. Same behavior, different circumstances. Second, this is a novel virus and finding a way through it is an iterative process filled with trial and error. So, it’s not surprising things have gone the way they have. Some politicians want to resolve it so they can score political points. Other politicians want to make a profit from it. Some healthcare professionals want to help and protect people. Some healthcare professionals want to use this for research and make a name for themselves. It seems no one has “THE” answer and at this point playing towards their stake and advantage. Basically, it’s a mess and will likely continue to be so until someone or group find a way to pull it all together.

  2. Seems some having been watching the money on Covid and other areas and notice that it’s a problem. The question is, what’s going to be done about? What happens when those entrusted to create law don’t do so because it hampers their ability to personally profit?

    1. Interesting. I doubt anything will be done about it because they’re all playing the same game.

      1. Agree. I think we are a part of the problem…not enough of us pay attention nor say anything and thus they feel empowered to continue.
