A public record of some of my thoughts. Feel free to comment, but don't expect me to respond.

And greedy. Few to none of them would be where they are without her work, and by participating in the reunion, they’re further enriching themselves off of her work while colluding in her exclusion.
Isn’t it amusing that the left loves to harp on greed … except when it’s in Hollywood. And actors get a special exemption when they’re doing such important work, shunning evil people like Rowling.
It isn’t clear as to why JK Rowling didn’t have a current appearance in the reunion special. Some reports indicate she was invited but declined. Others indicated that JK and the HBO execs mutually agreed the previously recorded interview footage would suffice and that was included in the special. “IF” this is true, I’m not sure I’d call the other cast members cowards, disgusting nor greedy. I may be missing something, but it doesn’t seem there’s enough information about how decisions were made to make those judgements.
What seems clear is that JK and some of the former cast members have differing opinions about the transgender controversy. Despite agreeing with JK’s perspective on this matter, I don’t have an issue with the others voicing their disagreement. As well, as long as JK wasn’t “banned” from the reunion special, I don’t have any issue with other former cast members agreeing to participate (as long as they didn’t trash JK as a part of the production). They can agree to disagree and move on.
Given the way she has been misjudged and treated, anything less than “I won’t appear unless Rowling appears” is cowardice.
They can disagree with her positions and statements all they like, but we must swear eternal warfare against the intolerant woke.
It does seem like she was invited to participate but declined. I can’t find anything that’s not from some dodgy entertainment media website that probably just cuts and pastes from all the others, though, that really explains the situation. So William has a point. Still, there may have been conditions attached to the “invitation.” If indeed it was her freely made decision to stay out, then I don’t blame the other actors too much, so long as they didn’t make statements indicating they refused to work with her further while continuing to profit off of her work. I don’t know that any of that happened, I’m just saying if it did, then I would still find that objectionable.
Polite things are said in press releases.
Wokeness is a scourge that must be squashed. I’m reminded of Thomas Jefferson, who said “I have sworn upon the altar of god eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.”

Really? Have you seen conservative media? Breitbart? Fox News? OAN?

What happened to “free speech” and “I disapprove of what you say, but I’ll defend to the death your right to say it”?
“IF” it’s true that JK didn’t want to appear and/or agreed with the network that the previous footage was sufficient, there is nothing cowardice about cast members appearing. After all, the point of the special was to celebrate the movie series and it’s entertainment value.
That sounds unduly militant, if she and the HBO execs agreed that footage of her being interviewed would suffice. People who like the Harry Potter stories in books and films need to put aside their cultural jihad for a moment and just enjoy things like this.
Touché!

Wasn’t a similar sentiment expressed by the LGBT community? They felt misjudged and discriminated against. Anything short of accepting their social agenda was intolerant. Conservatives balked against such and labeled it extreme (which it is). So, now that a conservative issue is at stake, it seems such a sentiment isn’t extreme and society must swear to eternal warfare.
Smitemouth’s commentary seems to apply here… “But, your sentiments seem like the typical ‘conservative’s’…(fill in the blank) is great…unless I don’t like what they do with it …WHaaaaaaaahhhhhh…”
