This is my fist attempt in the new Kindle Vella format.
Kindle Vella is a new service that’s based on serials. It was interesting to try to write a novel in a serialized format, since every episode has to sell the next episode. We’ll see how well I did.
But now The Time Device is also available on Kindle, and I hope to have it in paperback soon.
In the meanwhile, if you would be willing to post it on whatever evil, soul- and culture-destroying social media platforms you play on, I would appreciate it.
I wrote a murder mystery serial in grad school when some friends in astro were the editors of one of the monthly student newspapers. It was tough given that I was such a procrastinator, and generally wrote the chapters the night before they were due: hard to get the pacing right. Managed to wrap everything up in the last issue, though, so all’s well.
Wish I still had a copy but HD failure a few years back took it, and I’ve been too lazy to get someone at the university library to send me the relevant year.
Rewrite it from memory. It’ll probably be much better.
