The question is how much cheating, and is it enough to change the results.

And if there is any, why aren’t Republicans guilty of it?
Who said they’re not?
I have no doubt there’s cheating on both sides.
The Trump camp is screaming to the top of its lungs that it can only be a Democrat thing.
That’s not what I’m hearing. I’m hearing them saying that it is a Democratic thing, not that it “can only be” a Democrat thing.
In a tight race like this, credible accusations of abuse need to be taken seriously, no matter which side they come from.
I think that you are being way nitpicky about the word “can.”
Have there been credible accusations of Republican cheating? I don’t listen to Rachel Maddow, so I might not have heard them.
It is usually about putting restrictions on mail-in voting and gerrymandering. But I hardly ever listen to her either.
Two things about Trump he learned from long time fixer Roy Cohn…
1) accuse your opponent of what you are already doing.
2) accuse your opponent of f*cking dogs (not specifically that, but anything). A few years after the birther thing was finished, Trump again came out and said it was true to de-legitimize Obama and that he would be providing proof soon (you know, like a copy of his taxes)
People are saying Trump gutted the post office so that he could slow the delivery of mail in votes so they wouldn’t arrive on time to be counted.
That’s pretty good.
In the US, voter fraud is a time-honored tradition that has been developed into a mature science. Moreover, the historic closeness of this election has provided an irresistible motive to do anything for a few extra votes. Finally, ’emergency’ provisions for voting by mail, drive-through voting, etc. have created the perfect environment for all-time record voter fraud.
What I know… I worked from 1988 to 1994 at Edwards AFB in California. Most of the pilots and military techs I knew were not California residents but they were from somewhere else. Many of them changed their official residence if they happened to be stationed in Texas or another state with zero income tax.
But, the one thing is, nearly all of them were Republican and nearly all of them voted by mail. You can’t go to the polls in Ohio on election day when you are stationed in California. Trying to suppress the mail vote is trying to suppress the military vote. And, if anyone should have a vote, it’s someone in uniform or their spouse. But, whatever.
There’s an important distinction to be made with mail-in votes.
In the good version, the voter requests a ballot, it’s mailed to him, he fills it out and mails it back. That’s perfectly fine (I did it that way this time), and that system needs to be preserved.
The bad version is when the government simply sends unsolicited ballots to everybody on the voter rolls. That version is simply asking for abuse.
Frank Luntz said this on Twitter:
The current accusations say Democrats orchestrated a multi-state voter fraud operation that resulted in them:
• Flipping zero House seats
• Flipping zero state legislatures
• Remaining in the Senate minority
Voting itself creates the perfect environment for voter fraud. But the argument seems to be afoot that since such fraud must exist Trump’s charge that the Dems are cheating is plausible. That’s a lot like the allegation that a specific person has committed murder is plausible because people do sometimes commit murder.
I don’t know if plausible cases of cheating have been discovered yet, but what most definitely has been discovered is evidence of keeping Republican poll watchers away from the process. That’s illegal, and also implies they have something to hide.
It appears there was a legitimate case of voter fraud in Pennsylvania. Turns out it was a registered Republican requesting and signing an absentee ballot in the name of his deceased mother. Maybe he took Trump’s suggestion of voting twice to heart?
Nevertheless, if convicted he’ll face up to 10 years in prison. Seems this is the first case this county has seen in 30 years. Yet, the good news, it was caught…the system seems to be working!

Fwiw, I read on Twitter that Limbaugh conceded the election to Biden.
I didn’t know Limbaugh was on the ticket.
That’s what some others were saying.
I read it from an RC priest who is a law professor at Notre Dame…well, I think he’s a law professor. He is at least a lawyer. Maybe he babysits dorms, IDK.
I guess Limbaugh walked it back. I guess he’s still in the race.
An interesting and thorough legal review/status of all court cases filed by the Trump campaign (as of Nov. 10) alleging election fraud or impropriety.

Interesting input from the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) relative to election security and potential fraud. See video summary within the article.

Seems as if there’s a little controversy with Georgia’s Republican Secretary of State. He’s alleged that Lindsey Graham and other Republicans want him to throw out lawful ballots in favor of Trump. As well, some Republican colleagues have called for him to resign. Sadly, it appears he and his family have received death threats due to him attempting to govern the election process according to the law. Amazing!
