Polls have consistently under-estimated Republican votes for several cycles now. Is there something “systemically” wrong? Is this a form of voter suppression?

Ha ha. No.
It has been abundantly clear that the pollsters are either incompetent or deceptive. Knowing that — and everyone in the news has to know that — why are they being reported on so much?

How would this be a form of voter suppression if pollsters are activity seeking input from as many sources as feasible? Their credibility relies on being able to accurately represent a given population. To purposely underestimate Republican votes would be antithetical to their purpose and ultimate success.
