The Babylon Bee is probably the best source of news on the internet. Sure, it’s a satire site. But they have a way of telling the truth through satire that’s better than the alleged news from other outlets.
I like this one: Chick-Fil-A Temporarily Changes Slogan To ‘Eat Fewer Bats’
Genesius Times looks like they’re trying the same gig, but … they’re not quite as clever. Still, there are a few good ones, like Nation shocked that kids raised to think only of themselves are thinking only of themselves.
Since they featured Chick-fil-A, it would be interesting to see if they will feature satire related to common illness people get from eating chickens. Given we’re in the midst of global pandemic, I wonder if they’ve considered an ode to one the world’s most deadly pandemics, the 1918 Flu. Although debated, it seems the US is suspected for its origin. Might be a cool way to poke a little fun at how we’ve made our mark in world history. 😉
“Common illness people get from eating chickens” isn’t a hot topic in the news right now, and the Spanish Flu happened 100 years ago. Their goal is not to be even-handed and fair to everyone just for its own sake, it’s to satirize or bring humor to (which are not the same) whatever comes down the pike. And they do hit both sides of issues.
I’m familiar with the Bee. I thought it would be fun to speculate about how they might handle those topics areas. I hope that’s okay?
Reynolds calls the Bee “America’s Newspaper of Record”.
