P&C review Sam Smith’s Strawberry fruit ale, which is wonderfully full of strawberry flavor, and quite delightful.
Then the boys think about some of the odd ideas people have that they don’t seem to have thought through all the way.
They discuss proposals to …
- end red flag laws
- have a nation without borders
- create a non-binary, genderless world
- legalize drugs
- have less policing
- take away guns from law-abiding citizens
- eliminate drive-thrus to stop global warming, and
- stop the use of fossil fuels
… and wonder if these people spent any time thinking through their ideas.
Give a listen here: Have you thought this through?
Random on possible consequences of drug use: even marijuana, which is usually considered one of the softer drugs, has many major risks and unknowns. (I’m on record as having supporting decriminalization for several decades now, so this is a statement against interest.)

Before the legalization wave of a few years ago, I’d never even considered the possibility that marijuana would have teratogenic effects. (Or, if I’m being really honest, did I even know what teratogen meant..)
I’m somewhat ambivalent about legalizing marijuana. I can see arguments both ways, and while I mean towards keeping it illegal, it’s not a big thing for me.
However, I don’t see how it can be called a Schedule 1 drug when there are alleged medical uses for it. But maybe the point is that those medical uses haven’t been accepted widely.
In the article you cited, I think it’s interesting that there are lots of compounds to reckon with. It’s not a single drug. It’s a complex mix of things.
