Are bugs the food of the future?

by Greg Krehbiel on 10 January 2018

Veganism and vegetarianism are becoming more and more popular. If I were to hazard I guess, I would say there are three reasons.

1. Most of the country is very far removed from farms and hunting.

2. We treat the animals we eat pretty badly. (I feel bad about it, and I have no qualms with killing animals.)

3. Sentimentalism is catchy.

But we need a reliable source of good proteins! So, will bugs be the food of the future?

You left off people promoting in because they believe it is healthier.

Fair point. But in my experience such people don’t go all-in on it. They just dramatically cut back.

But … that’s just my experience.
