The most brilliant aspect of our form of government is that it’s designed to make it hard to get anything done.
There’s no king who can impose his will. The president can have an “agenda,” but if Congress doesn’t go along with it, he won’t get anywhere.
That reality seems to be catching up with Obama’s grand plans for reforming society as he gets pushback from fellow Democrats.
